New tyres?

My car has just been for an MOT (it passed) and the mechanic said that my rear tyres are getting low on tread and will need replacing in the near future. Does anyone know of anywhere in the Nottingham area that does good deals?

There's an authorised Blackcircles guy down in Colwick that is very good. Either go via the Blackcircles website or just get the quote and ring him direct, which is what I did a few months back.

I've bought my last four tyres from the National Tyres Ebay shop, I did every comparison and they came out cheapest. Staff in the fitting centres were miserable though, they complained on both occasions that they didn't make any money because they were purchased via Ebay.

Definately also reccommend blackcircles.com. They have been really good to deal with, they didn't have the tyres I ordered in stock so offered me an alternative (more expensive) option at no extra cost.

The other online site worth checking, if you have a garage locally that will fit them for you, is https://www.camskill.co.uk - prices are normally pretty competitive.
  • I was going to post this as a new thread - Might do so anyway.

ATS euromaster offer cheaper prices from their online shop http://www.atstyreshop.co.uk/eshop/en_GB/home You can choose the tyre that you want and then for a number of the branches book an appointment for them to be fitted. My local branch is not one with pre-booking so when I phoned up for a quote the manager said that he would match the online price. This saved me 30% on the tyre price.

another for blackcircles and use the mobile fitting service with makes it so much easier
  • Another vote for Blackcircles!

But a good tip is to get your quote from Blackcircles, then phone the fitting partner direct. They can usually match the Blackcircles quote and the garage will be making a bit of extra profit on the tyre as well as the fitting fee. As oppose to just the fitting fee from Blackcircles. Support your local garage!

OP, try Your Tyres & AutoCare, Little Tennis St, Colwick - 0115 9585317, but as above get quote on the Blackcircles site first then ring them direct. It's a one man operation but he provides a very good service.
  • Thanks for all the info guys. I've decided to opt for blackcircles.com. Looks like I've just saved myself about 20%!
