Which card should I apply for?

Hi all,
Hope you can help, only posted on here a few times. I have a CC with Halifax and the 0% APR period runs out next week. So I'm looking to Tart!
I've only been at my new rented address for a few months though and a few of the "Quick checks" that are around (like the one on this site), seem to indicate I'd have an average score - possibly as I've only been there a few months and applied for my last credit card, new bank account and mobile phone all in the last 12 months (but over 6 months ago).
I had one default entry on my Equifax history, but that cleared a few weeks back so I'm now clean as a whistle on both Experian & Equifax. I've only got around £1200 on my CC and pay off around £300 a month. I've got no other debt at all anywhere.
Question is, would I be better of applying for a new card with my bank - First direct, who offer an ok BT offer, but poor APR for the next 12 months. Or should I try my luck with the MBNA 12/12 (12 months 0% BT & New Purchases)?
I'd obviously much prefer the MBNA, but don't want to do it if I'll get turned down - especially as I'm considering a newer car in the next couple of months.
Any advice would be really appreciated!

MBNA card is offering a better card than first direct, depending on your credit report try MBNA.0 -
Lol. Thanks but I'm aware the MBNA offer is better!

My question was that given my credit report (being clean) but my time at my new address being low and having opened a few credit accounts in the last 6-12months, should I apply for the MBNA or the First Direct card.
I don't really want to get declined and then have to apply elsewhere (i.e with my bank FD) - especially given your little mantra at the bottom of your signature about too many searches meaning an instant decline with other lenders!
Just wondering whether to bite the bullet and just apply with my bank - (FD) and have a poo 0% purchase period but good 0% BT period or to risk applying for the MBNA card with great periods for both?
Thanks!0 -

Safe bet then try first direct, couple of searches wont hurt you even 3 0r 4 as long as they are a bit spaced out.0 -

No, it cleared a few weeks ago - I've been waiting for it to clear before applying for a new card to transfer my old cc to!
my credit file is now clear! 0
