Speech-Mark-Left.gifOfficial MoneySavingExpert.com Insert:

What's the deal?

Debenhams is giving a £50 gift voucher to all couples who sign up and create their Wedding list with it.

How to grab the cash?

The offer applies to all lists with products no matter how large or small. The £50 will be loaded onto your ‘wedding gift card’, within 28 days of you setting up the account, although Debenhams reserves the right to retain the card until after the wedding. There’s no time limit on the gift card.

Set up a wedding list and you get a £50 gift card.

Also if you put £100 of Royal Doulton on your list and buy it, you get a free pair of heavy crystal champagne flutes (worth about £40), and 20% back in gift vouchers. The Royal Doulton stuff is all on special now, so why not?

Whereabouts did you find this bit?
  • I wonder when you actually get the gift card, something doesn't seem correct here.

If it does turn out to be a free £50 card then well done op.

    p.s. trying it now

Whereabouts did you find this bit?

was in the store at the weekend. I was looking at the Royal Doulton stuff (all half price atm), and it said "if you get £100 of Royal Doulton bought off your list then you'll get two crystal flutes + 20% of the value back in gift vouchers". You might need to do this in store - they also have a better range there than online.

I believe these are the free flutes http://www.royaldoulton.com/website/product/productdetail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441766298&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302030949&bmUID=1160433087254&bmLocale=en_GB

The £50 gift card is on the website at https://www.debenhams.com

"Yours to spend: £50 gift card when you register and create your gift list"

So maybe register online and if you want the Royal Doulton stuff add that in-store?

Me and my hubbie 2 B to be did this last weekend just for the free £50!!! I thought I would tell you a bit more about it.We are getting married in December and I had spotted the offer on the various wedding chatrooms. However, we were never going to have a giftlist. You have to make an appointment within 3 months before your wedding and they ask loads of questions - where and when you are getting married and how many people etc. The appointment took a while cause you have to scan everything. There is loads of benefits though, they gave us a voucher for a free cappucino each, 20% off food in the cafe, they registered me for a Debenhams Gold Card (I know the evils of the store card but with it was free giftbags, free makeover, money off lingerie and benefits like that) and then at the end they give you a giftcard which has £50 credited to it.You could pretend you were getting married but you would need to be prepared to answer lots of questions about your wedding. However, it was all worth it for a free £50!!!!
Oh yeah, and it seems that your guests have to buy the Royal Dolton stuff to get it - that is what the lady told us.

we did it for our wedding as well - loved getting £50 but they don't half grill you about the wedding details!

We did well because the Debenhams sale was on at the time so I picked things that were reduced - did mean I had to keep checking the list all the time to see what was in stock though.
