Krakow Christmas Market 3 nights £118pp based on 2 people. flights and hotel

Hi this is my 1st post on the forums so I hope I have done this correctly.

I have been looking for a christmas market to go to this year and now booked the following as it was the most value one i could find.

Fly from London Gatwick www.Easyjet.com to Krakow in Poland
On the 6th December return on the 9th December

• Pay by Visa Electron: £62.98
• Pay by Visa Debit Card: £66.93
• Pay by Credit Card: £71.88

We decided to pay extra for one suitcase in the hold between two of us to bring our christmas buys home at a extra cost of £18.

I booked to stay 3 nights in a basic twin room at the Wyspianski Krakow Hotel in the old town, which is a 5 min walk to the main square where the christmas market is held.

This was booked at www.travelrepublic.co.uk for £76.96 + 2.5% credit card charge. = £78.88

Transfers
Direct train from the airport to the city center, 16 min journey with just the one stop. Cost £2 each way pp

Then a 10 walk to the hotel.

Costs
£149.46 2x flights, one suitcase paying with visa electron
£ 78.88 3 nights in hotel
£ 8.00 transfers
£236.34 total for two people

or £118.17 each

Krakow is a wonderful city,

if you don't bring home all of those christmas bargains, you could put some lambert and buttler cigs in at £20 for 200 they are a bargain.

Krakow is a fantastic place that I have visited twice. I'm sure that you will enjoy you're stay (although December will be very cold!). The train service from the airport to the centre is regular & if I remember rightly quite modern. You will find Poland relatively cheap (although nowhere near as cheap as it used to be!).

From what I have read, theres plently of bars and clubs & restaurants.

Been to Krakow twice (once for the Xmas markets) and can confirm the city is packed with bars and restaurants. At first glance you won't notice them as most of them are underground in all the enormous basements and cellars. Have a read on TripAdvisor for recommendations.

Also stayed at the Hotel Wyspianski both times. It's a really good hotel (and central) but, beware, lots of stag parties use it and it can be quite noisy!

However, Krakow is a wonderful city to visit and at Christmas time is simply magical.
