Kitchen Quote

Options
I'm trying to work out at the moment whether or not a quote from a kitchen fitter is a good one or not, and was wondering if anyone here can help?

The kitchen is around 3.5 * 2.75m, and in need of a complete refit.

The quote is for:
JJO kitchen units - around 12 (5 wall, 4 base, integrated dishwasher, corner unit, integrated washing machine)
Ripping out old kitchen fittings & wall tiles, fresh plastering etc
Ripping out flooring and laying ply
adding 2 sockets & moving 3
moving gas & electric for cooker from one side of the room to another
Adding plumbing for the dishwasher & fitting a sink

The quote came in at 5,500 - I've tried to price up the JJO units, sink, etc from a trade catalogue, and these come in around the 2300 mark...

I've had a quote form B&Q at 5000 (2k materials, 3k fitting), but they were vague about the details of what labour I got for my money. I've tried to source another couple of quotes, but these won't be in for a while, and the fitter I got the above quote on wants an answer soon as he's got a space to do the work within the next 2 weeks.

Any comments/insights would be greatly appreciated!

For £5500 i would expect decent quality new appliances on top of that work. How much detail are you wanting them to go in to for labour charges? B & Q have said it is £3000 to rip everything out and put new stuff in.

Given the scope of the work, it isn't a bad price. There is a lot to do before the kitchen can actually be fitted,. (Prob 2 - 3 days). Bear in mind, there are costs like a skip, materials for moving sockets, electric / gas supply etc which need to be taken into account.
