Drimaster Experiences

  • Hi dampdaveski and others on this post

My husband and I are considering a drimaster 2000 but we were hoping to find someone with experience to fit it. Nuaire don't install to homes and other suppliers we have found are based in the South West and don't come this far (we live in the North East of England). Nuaire and the other suppliers have suggested we just find a local electrician but we were hoping to find someone who had actually fitted one before.

    Does anyone have any thoughts?

If one has a small house, and judging by the cost of the 2000s dri master would it be easier to install a Extractor fan with built in dehumidifier and just install them individually into bedrooms? as you would do with a bathroom?
  • Hi emily,
A competant electrician would be able to install a Drimaster 2000 unit, all they wold need to do if they have never fitted one before is to actually sit down and read the instructions first. I'd suggest that you and you other half read them first also
It would of course be a lot better to use a company that has fitted them before.
Just be careful that some companies can be quite shocking when it comes to supply and fit prices

I'b be interested to see an extractor fan with a built in dehumidifier!. A Drimaster or any other type of PIV unit (positive input ventilation) is designed to control the full property (uness of course it's huge)
You can get a multiple extract unit (one extractor fan that will extract from up to 4 rooms) we've used these before on properties where you can't fit a drimaster unit with a great deal of success, these are usually local authjority or housing association bungalows that don't have proper hallways

    Hope this is of use
