Pre-approved for a CC

Hi,

Does the term 'pre approved' have any fixed meaning or status?

I have been told I can have a CC with my new bank account, they told my type of card and what the limit was.

Will they have done a credit check already or would that be still to do?

They will have credit searched you during the application for your new bank account. They will probably search you again though if you want the card.

Natwest did for me.

Hmm,

Well its with First direct...Put in a few details online and got the pack in the post a few days later. Just needed to date sign and return it. Phoned just to clarify a few things and they said they could do the CC.

It will be a good day if I do get it, i'll be opening the champagne, been stuck paying high rates for ages. A 0% will make a huge difference to my finances.
