    From the ybs site...
Internet Saver: this account has been temporarily closed to new applications. Existing account holders can continue to manage their accounts online as normal, and view the account terms and conditions
  • Not big enough to cope?

Maybe time they merged with another large society e.g. Chelsea or Coventry to give them a bit more scale?

Thankfully I was able to manage to open my ybs internet saver last month. I use this account as my emergency fund as it has a link card.

I hope this doesn't mean a massive reduction in interest rates for this account as I've just moved a lot of cash in :(

I've just transfered my money over to this account. Over subscription doesn't look good for interest rates.

Incidently my account says my AER is 5% rather than 5.1% anyone else has this (my account is monthly however AER should be the same as yearly)
Money, Money, Money ..... Banks/Casinos/Bookies give me all you money its a poor mans world....

But your monthly interest is 'paid away', isn't it?

I suppose im having a thick day and dont know what you mean. I have found that they pay the interest to my current account if that's what you mean.
