OHs email account sending SPAM emails (Hijack Log)

So sorry to call on your help again, but we're not sure whether the emails are coming from the upstairs desktop or his netbook, this is the PC Hijack this log, could someone have a look and see whether there is anything there that should be deleted please? I will do the same with his Netbook when he gets in.

When you are clean, get rid of AVG and install a decent AV program: Avira, Avast, MSE or Kaspersky will all do a better job than the dire AVG.

Silly question probably but you have changed the password on his email account?

Are you sure that the PC is actually sending spam, or is it just that the address is being spoofed?
Are there copies of the spam in the Sent Mail folder?
If the latter, then don't worry about it, you're not infected.

You're right, nothing in the Sent folder, should have thought of that! I've changed his password to the account just in case, hopefully that's it then. Thanks for the advice, just off to install Avast! now.

Then it's just address spoofing. Happens to all of us at some time.
Remember to run theAVG Removal tool before you install Avast.

You have had ask/mywebsearch toolbar on this computer at some point so I'd make sure thats completely gone as well.

Okay, Avast! installed and running, AVG removed and Password changed. How would I find the files for the ask/mywebsearch toolbar?
