my printer has finally died so i need to get a replacement pretty quickly (like today!).

could anyone recommend a good all round printer that i can get reasonably priced ink cartridges for in the future please?

(i'm thinking of going to argos as i have quite a few nectar points i can use towards it:))

I wouldn't get either- they both have a multi-colour ink cart ,one colour runs out have to replace lot. MP250 is newer model and gets better reviews - http://www.testfreaks.co.uk/multi-functional-printers/canon-pixma-mp250/

I'd get one with seperate ink carts that use compatibles or can be refilled you have to google any model you find to learn this.
I'm still refilling the original carts on my 3 yr old ip5300 -trouble is printer models are replaced 6 monthly it seems!
  • Thanks for your reply. Wish I'd got it before I headed into town as I bought0 the 480. I only had to part with 7 quid for it though so I'll see how it goes.
