Hi there, I've been thinking about a new laptop for a while but as my old one has now decided to die totally I now really need to get a new one! Its mainly used for the internet and general Microsoft Office applications, its an 'at home' laptop so not bothered about it being super lightweight or portable.
I've been reading all the various threads on here and googling for hours but am still abit unsure on whats good value for money. Could anyone give me their opinion on this Acer AS7741 from Comet (was recommended on HUKD) which seems to be quite a good deal from what I can make out, although I've no idea what Acer is like. (Its got Intel Core i3 processor (think this is ok!), 3Gb Ram and a 320gb hard drive) Using a discount code can get it for £422.99 does this seem a good buy to anyone?
Any opinions would be really gratefully received as I really need a new laptop but am nervous to buy it and found out I've made the wrong choice!!
Thanks in advance

The Acer Aspire 5741 Core i3 Laptop has had some excellent reviews in a number of magazines, and for £435 (I think from laptopsdirect) it is a really good buy.0

I bought one (the 7741G) from Comet a week or so ago, and I'm very pleased with it. The 17.3" screen is huge, with excellent resolution. I find the keyboard very good to use too, so no regrets at the moment! Any questions please ask!!0
