Cooker Warranty

The handle on my cooker keeps burning and going sticky where the heat from the oven vent is burning it. i have had it replaced 3 times now and the last time l was told to hang a tea-towel over the handle to stop the heat getting to the handle
I dont think this is acceptable and its still under extended warranty. How do l go about get the whole thing replaced for a different model.
Thanks

If it is only under extended warranty, then it will depend on what the T&Cs of the warranty say you are entitled you. They are sometimes limited to x amount of repairs/replacements with no other options, and they are allowed to say this. If all you want is a replacement of a different model, then as long it is around the same value then certainly try as this is a reasonable request. If they say no, I wouldn't say they are doing anything legally wrong as you are probably not strictly entitled to ask for that.
Depending on how old it is, then you may well be able to go back to the retailer under your legal rights (as opposed to warranty/guarantee which is usually with manufacturer) and request a replacement of a different model from them instead. The other options you can request are a full refund (not so likely but worth a try) or partial refund which would in effect be a full refund minus an amount for usage. Need to bear in mind though that the older it is, the less options you will have open to you.
It is important to realise the difference between approaching the retailer under Sale of Goods Act, and manufacturer/warranty supplier under the warranty.Little lady arrived 13/12/110 -
