NORTHERN GAS .... Dont' Do It!!!!

Hi there,

I just wanted to warn people about an absolutely dreadful central heating cmpany that my daughter used to re-vamp her existing central heating and install a new boiler. She paid over £3000 and has been ripped off big time! The damage they have done to her property has to be seen to be believed! She has contacted them time and time again. Eventually they offered her £100 in compensation!!!???!!!! As she is eight months pregnant she agreed to this on the phone (she hasn't signed anything) yet four weeks down the line she still hasn't had a penny!

I've begged her to go to the small claims court or to an ombudsman over this company. Their workmen have hacked through her newly tiled bathroom with hammers and chisels instead of using proper cutters, the holes they made in walls and floors were massive and she has had to get plasterers in to repair the damage. She has had to replace the carpet in the living room TWICE .. the first time after the job was done as they'd covered it in muck and the second time as one of the leaks completely soaked her carpet and underlay!! They have used plastic piping when they should have used copper so she has leaks everywhere! All in all an absolutely disgusting excuse of a job! She is now eight months pregnant and is hesitant about taking this further but I have told her she really must do so.

I just wanted to warn people here of this terrible heartless firm. They were quick to take her money yet do not want to know when she contacts them about the terrible state her lovely home has been left in. Please - if you are thinking about getting a central heating firm in whether its for a new system or a re-vamp like my daughter had, DO NOT USE NORTHERN GAS HEATING!

Hope this helps prevent someone going through the traumas my daughter has had to go through!
