Unfair car crash - other party faking injury and increasing my insurance premium

Hi all,
Just looking for some advice. I'll keep this brief - it's infuriating!!!
I get onto a large 5 exit roundabout Middle lane. On the roundbout, a car to the right of me tries to overtake and exit the first exit!! He clips my right hand side and bumper comes off.
My girlfriend is a passenger.
We have video of the cars but they have been pulled over to the side of the road
Other party's van is fine.
This happened in august. Now 2 months later, he wants to claim of 'whiplash' (surely a 'no win no pay scam) but my insurance is saying it will most likley go 50:50 as he's trying to claim off me and my insurance will go up!!!
this is TOTALLY unfair seeing as he crashed into me and not he's claiming insurance. I have no witnesses and my passenger is related so disregarded.
Any advice what I can do? It's essentually someone crashing into you and then claiming off insurance!
Thanks for any words anyone can offer.

tell your insurance company you want it investigated as a fraudulent claim
alternatively - did you suffer from any neck pain? maybe consider a claim off the other driver if you didWeight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0 -
Thanks - the person I spoke to guessed it was but said she has to take it seriously which frustrates me even more!
Even if i claim for my neck pain....my insurance would still go up.
The only option I can think of is find witnesses... anything else i can do?
It's this dirty game he's playing and the system is corrupt. No justice whatsoever0 -
dont you have video?0

Tell your insurance company he is lying and ask them to call his bluff someone got done last week for lying about injuries, makes me mad because real whiplash injuries are horrendous.0

Insurance don't care. It's gone to a third party company now to take statements - they are the ones who benefit from 50:50 cases, not us. Man claiming whiplash could be old injury so it's all crooked... I'll bring this up on YouTube/ Facebook etc if I have to.
Anyone in a similar situation? What's the point of Paying so much insurance if it's all crooked and can be taken away from you? I can't afford this

There is a chance the other driver has whiplash, symptons do not normally show until the next day.
Your insurers will not benefit from 50/50 as they will have to pay out for the injury and solicitors fees0 -
Both insurance companies get to charge higher premiums.
Me driving 10mph and him crashing into me and claims is totally unfair.
His claiming two months later is unfair.0 -
The whiplash injuries are likely to be 50% of £1200+ for each injured party plus other parties legal costs of upwards of £800+ per injured party, any damage to the other vehicle plus whatever admin costs your insurer has in dealing with the claim. They would rather not have to pay these costs if they could avoid them and won't be paying these costs just so they can charge more on your premium when there is a reasonable chance they won't even be your insurer next year.0

whiplash cant be proved so insurance companys just pay out, then people ask why our insurance is so high. People have moved from claiming for a tv which wasnt broken to compensation for none existant injurys0
