Trouble buying Tickets

Hello everyone,

I need some advice,

In the summer I bought some festival tickets which never came, now I have contacted the post office and they said the seller got the address wrong, I have checked my text messages and emails and I put the address right. Obviously the tickets have no value now as the festival has gone but surely I should be owed a refund as it was the sellers mistake?

However the seller isn't replying to my emails and looks to be just trying to get away with my £300 (I sent as a bank tranfer not through ebay),

I have his name and bank details and all of the emails and text messages saved as proof,

What can I do in this situation to make sure I get a refund, I still have the tracking number and all the proof I just don't know where to go from here,

Thanks,

You don't say if you used Ebay to buy the tickets but there's nothing they can or will do this late in the day and anyway sending a bank transfer is as good as meeting the seller on a street corner with an envelope full of notes. Your best bet would be to try to find out his address if you don't have it already and either get a solicitor to send a letter asking for your cash back or start proceedings via the small claims court, follow this link for further details.

But try to check if he has any cash before you do, otherwise you may waste another 25 pounds making the claim. 'Winning' a claim can be a hollow victory if they can't or won't pay.
