Advice needed re: address with bad credit.

Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I have just bought a repossessed flat and obviously the previous owner and his tenant were in REAL debt, there was a pile of post dating back 3 years and it was all Council Tax arrears, bailiff letters, debt collectors etc. Clearly this address will have a real black mark against it for debt

How do I get shot of that? Do I just write to the credit reference agencies? All 3 of them? Or is there some other way. I need to get this sorted fast before I get stuck on a black list as well.

Thanks for any help.

Credit reference agencies do not blacklist properties. Nor do they red-line. They blacklist individuals on their credit files. Order a copy of your credit file, and just make sure you have not been financially associated with the person before, and you will not be affected, so long as they don't appear on your credit file.
    Best Regards
