parking ticket from vinci park services

Unbeknown to our son he received a ticket from Vinci Park services for not displaying a ticket, which was true, he was in a rush and didn't see he needed one. The car is registered to my wife so she received the first notice from them, i replied-as i hadn't seen this website at the time that we were not aware of a ticket and asked for photo evidence. they duly provided it, the ticket was stuck to the windscreen low down so from inside the car you could not see it, hence my son was not aware he had received one, I guess it blew off or something.
Anyhow, since then I have ignored all correspondance, now it has been passed over to Roxburghe, I see they are listed.
The truth is my son was driving and my wife was out of the country in Portugal at the time. Am I obliged legally to give them his details or not.
There letter refers to "common law doctrine of the law of agency, which confirms that a principal (registered keeper) is liable for the acts of its agent (the driver) so they will pursue the keeper.
I assume from what I read that I continue to ignor and they will give up ?
What do you think ?

What a load of nonsense from Roxburghe. They are trying to mix criminal law with that of civil law. To put it bluntly, it's up to the PPC to ascertain the identity of the driver, not the registered keeper. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

I'll upload the letter then, it doesn't seem to be mentioned on the other roxburghe letters uploaded and is used to intimidate.0

There are lots of other people who have had that letter but if you can't see the same letter on our sticky thread then please do post a scan of it to help others. Many thanks.
Let me Google that for you = click to find other web posts about your letter. Wait for it to do the search on its own then read the fightback forums (pepipoo.com) and CAG results.
