Just had Dyno-Rod round to unblock my drain. Man hole full to top of sewage. He unblocked it with rods within a few minutes.
Cost £75 +VAT.
I know it's too late now but I was just wondering if this was a good price?

Or you could get a set of rods for about a tenner from home bargains
But for Dyno-rod that was exceptionally cheap0 -
Yeah I know I could of got the rods myself but got no where to store them. No one I know has them either.0

You could have done it cheaper but sometimes when the you know what gets stuck in the drain, its worth paying someone else a fair wage to end up shovelling it.Adventure before Dementia!0

Dyno rod were charging more than that in the 1970's I would have expected it to be about 5 times that. seriously, it was bargain0

There's something on there website where they have changed to fixed pricing. With the £75 being the lowest fee.0

That is really cheap for dyno-rod. I think last time I phoned then they wanted £100 just to come out and look at the problem. You can get it cheaper but you got a reasonable price.0

If the drain is a shared drain that simply runs across your property from one neighbour to the next, then you have no responsibility for maintenance of it. You should have called your local water board and they would have come and unblocked it for free. Dynorod of course will never tell you that, as they'd prefer you to pay them. If the drain is only for your house, then the responsibility does lie with you.0
