Earlier on in the day I had a Southern Electric canvasser around telling me to switch and how I didn't understand deregulation and pricing.
Normally when I'm working I see them approaching other houses and log onto uSwitch. When I answer the door I hold the laptop and show them who is cheapest. Gets rid of them sharpish.
Anyway, the canvasser has returned and was seen by Mrs V. opening our meter cupboards. I take it they can check the meter number and meter reading.
What should I do now? I don't want 101 utility canvassers messing around with the meter cupboards as half the time they never bother to shut them and they swing around banging in the wind.

I had one knock on my door today, he said he was from S E and checking tariffs, to which I replied, "Sorry, don't want to change supplier" and started to close door. He didn't argue, just wished me a nice day. Makes a change! If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
