in Credit cards
Hi all,
I have a credit card with £1,100 on it which is drawing to the end of it's 0% deal.
But I don't know if i should get another card and Balance Transfer paying the c3% fee or just pay the extra interest (16.9% apr)
does anyone know a calculation for working out what the monthly interest would be so i can calculate if it would be better to transfer or not? I intend to pay the card off in 4-5 months.
thanks for any help.

It depends on whether you will pay equal installments over the 4-5months or just pay minimum payments then a lump sum.
But you could use the snowball calculator at http://www.whatsthecost.co.uk/snowball.aspx and enter the debt details in there, that will tell you how much you would pay in interest if you pay off £225 per month (or whatever you enter) which you can then compare to the BT transfer fee of £33 (if its a 3% fee)A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
