artwork help.

We have moved our bathroom so have a clear glass window, the tiles we used as a border we would like to replicate in a opaque window film. to get the film maker to do the artwork is quite expensive, so we want to try producing the artwork for them. below is the email from them, any ideas how to go about this.
we have both a pc and a mac. the mac has iworks 09 we also have adobe cs4.


Thank you for your enquiry, it would be difficult for us to copy this design unless you could supply us with the artwork as an .ai or .eps vector file. If you were unable to do that we would have to charge to re-draw the artwork which would probably be £120.00 + film cost.

I also have a friend that has a cutter / plotter , but neither of understand the software well.

1 thought was to print the picture and unpick the lighter area. apply to a window, spray with etching stuff, unpick the lighter stuff then spray again
