my mum has won £15000 which will be paid to her via cheque, she gets pension credit and housing benefit,will she have to inform them about this unexpected windfall?????help.

You need to ask this on the benefits board - Benefits & Tax Credits
Housing benefit is affected if you have savings of more than £16k, so if she previously had more than £1k in the bank (or cash at home) and so now has more than £16k yes she will need to tell them.
But the people on the benefits board will be able to offer more advice.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
