Bit of both for Nandos

Went to our local Nandos for a meal on Friday, usually very good there. Well we ordered, we sat down, we waited....and we waited....and we waited. After 40 minutes we grabbed a waitress who said she'd find out where our order was, and she zoomed by a little later saying 'it's just coming' over her shoulder to us. Another 10 minutes and it arrived. Not very happy. After we'd finished the whole meal a lady came over to do the 'is everything ok with your meal, would you like to order something else' routine, and I just snapped 'what, and wait another hour!'. Turns out she was the manager and she apologised for our wait, there had been a problem with the computer orders and she knew some people were delayed. I asked why no-one had come over to apologise before and explain the delay, and maybe bring us some bread or something for us during the wait. She said they weren't sure which tables were effected, which sounded a bit rubbish really.So that's the vent part.

On the other hand, she came back a couple of minutes later with a voucher for a whole new meal for us, so they put it right in the end.

I like Nando's and took my mum there as a treat along with my 2 sisters. We ordered and then when our food came we went to get the cutlery and drinks etc. The cutlery are kept in these pot things and they were dirty, smeared and still had bits of food on them - and it wasn't just the odd one or two it was ALL of them. Then when we took them out of the pot we saw that at the bottom of the pot were bits of food and stuff. NOT very appetising!

We told the waiter and he said he would bring us some clean ones, but we were waiting for around 10 minutes which isn't good when the food is sat on the table!!

He didn't even apologise either, I accept that people make mistakes but I cannot stand it when people do not apologise!

We went to Nandos last night, and the chicken was undercooked in the middle - still bloody. Quite disappointed as it isn't very cheap at just under £10 for the main, plus drinks. But must say this is the first time I've really had a problem with the food at Nandos.

Hope you brought it to their attention as undercooked chicken is a health risk...

In praise of Nando's I had a really good experience there the other week. I said in passing to a waitress whilst she was doing her check back that I loved the Wild Herb dipping sauce but it's the only one the do not sell in the shops. She went off and we carried on with the meal.

She later returned with two plastic pots saying she had spoken to the manager and he was happy for me to fill them up to take home. Very impressed.

We had been to the one at the O2 a few days before and had brilliant service there too. Despite it being just after the concert had finished we were seated quickly and our food arrived in good time.
