Halifax new online banking look/service

I managed to log on to the Halifax online banking service yesterday, looks good(its no reverted back to the old look again), i was interested as i wanted to see what they would allow my overdraft up to!, It was £250, but they would let it go up to 4.5k, which is thought was kinda silly amount, considering when they wont give me a credit card over 2k!. Anyone else managed to use the new service yet?

I don't want to up my overdraft but noticed they showed you what they would give you and this is the very thing I wanted to check. They keep switching on and off again the new look, which I guess is causing the server to run very slow indeed, possibly bad coding or something going screwy and they have to revert back.

I wonder why they would offer such a big increase though?(i am not a big earner and dont go over drawn much), prehaps my relationship with the bank is just good.

That's exactly it - I don't earn anything (am a student), but Nationwide have approved me for a £3k overdraft, and this was the reason they stated when I asked them about it.
