who governs the WTC??? where can i get answers??

- i split from my husband and moved into a rented property on 11th august and phoned WTC on the 13th to change claim - i still have not heard anything, no letters or phone calls, im phoning them every other day and often end up in tears of frustration. apparently there is no problem with claim and they cant see that they need any further info its just waiting to go to payment. i work 26 hours a week but my monthly wages have been paying the rent (£850) and i put off applying for HB thinking i would need a WTC award letter.

i applied for HB last week and have been told it should take 10 days and just to hand award letter in when i get it which is a hopeful bonus but as it is i am absolutely skint - my sons birthday was last wekk and i had to borrow money on top of money ive already borrowed for food, petrol etc..... my regular DD bills have all bounced cos i had to pay rent to keep roof over our heads

WTC just say there is no one they can put me through to that it is just a matter of waiting !!!!!!??????? i work and rely on this money to help feed and clothe my kids and so far i owe 6 weeks dinner monies plus money for utilities, bills, money to friends and im just at my wits end!!!!!

just got off the phone to them again and still no movement - they have done everything they can and there is no one i can speak to, to get answers, no number or contact. just left in limbo with them owing me about £200 pw for the past 9 weeks

who governs the WTC? who are they accountable to and who can i bloody write a complaint letter too??? i am so in debt and my crap credit score will be getting worse by the day - ive taken out loans with wonga and quickquid and now have exhausted all possible avenues for help with money i have £7.60 in my wallet and am 2 weeks late with this months rent and will get paid about £800 on the 24th and its my birthday on saturday so fabulous birthday im gonna have!!!!!! poxy bloody system might as well give up my job and claim income support bet that would be quicker!!!!!!

Do you have a local Tax Enquiry Centre? My friend had a problem with a claim as there ex partner had been fraudulently claiming in their name and had to go to the Tax Enquiry Centre to sit down with someone who sorted it out there and then?

Can your ex-husband help out?
You are entitled to maintenace from him

As a previous poster advised you can go to your local HMRC Enquiry centre and see if they can progress your claim. - http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/enq/main.htm

Just to let you know if there is any childcare costs or disability mentioned on your new claim TCO will confirm the details before they let it go into payment. They are not allowed to tell you this on the phone incase you are a claiming fraudulently. Also if your ex has also put in a claim that can hold it up too. They will not pay 2 people for the same children.

Don't email your MP, ring his/her office and demand an appointment to see them face to face asap.
Mine was fantastic when I had CTC problems.

Why is your ex not paying you maintainance for the children's food, utilities etc?
