It does no harm to anonymously call companies to find out their policies on customers who are BR and/or have a poor credit file.0

Just thought I would bump this to warn future bankrupties of the perils of continuing to deal with BT0

We are with the Poat Office, they are great and have never asked aout being BR, they pay the landline fee to BT so we do not have any contact try them and see how you get onIf you woke up this morning congratulations, you have another chance :j0

Hi I'm with BT, havent had any problems so far, pay the line rental in advance and then monthly for the broadbad no diff then before BR. I dont owe them anything and havent heard a peep out of them about it, so obviously dont check, maybe they only know if you tell them or include them in your BR?0

The Woman that was dealing with our case came back to say, despite our best efforts we haven't been able to find away to terminate your account. See Below
How nice is she, the original complaint was that you need to credit our account with the money that we owed and have subsequently paid to you because you don't know what you are doing!!
They are a shower!!!
Now, did you have your service with the post office before you went BR or after?
Thanks
Good Morning
I have now had a reply from our Regulatory team so thank you for your patience.
Our USO means we do have to provide service on reasonable request, however there is nothing specific in terms of bankruptcy in our USO. As you have continued to pay your account there is certainly no need to terminate service. If a customer has not paid their bill then we can terminate service.
I would like to ask if you have any problems in the future please give me a shout.
Kind regards
Victoria Kain

Everybody's perception of BT is different.
When we went br we did not owe BT anything, we had a dd every month comi ng out of the NatWest. We changed this to the Co-op account after br. Three months later after we conceded defeat and moved into rented property, we found that the previous occupiers had had Virgin. Virgin will not take you whilst in bankruptcy, so we contacted BT and told the of our move. There was a line to the house , but because it was disconnected it would cost us about £130 to reconnect it. We paid, they connected only to find that the cable from the post to the house was down. They came and replaced at no cost.
We pay BT by dd every three months now and not monthly, everyone is happy. The question of br has never been mentioned, I can only praise BT for their help.
Every one has different experiences, thankfully mine was a good one.0
