Hi Everyone,
I have a problem with my laptop, and was wondering if anyone could give me advice as to how to try to fix it.
Whenever im on the intenet, my laptop keeps freezing, and it says at the top "windows internet explorer is not responding". It can stay like that for a few seconds, or a few minutes. Its so annoying.
My PC doesnt do that, its only my laptop. My laptop is about 2 yrs old if that means anything, and my broadband provider is sky.
Is there anything I can do to fix this? If there is, please explain it on easy computer terms, because computers and me are a complete disaster area.
Jackie

Possibly an issue with Internet Explorer, what version of Internet Explorer are you using? (With IE open, click Help > About)
You could try using a different browser (in fact I recommend a different browser since IE has many security issues).
Firefox: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/upgrade.html
Google Chrome: http://www.google.com/chrome
Opera: http://www.opera.com/
Internet Explorer 8 (if you want to stick with IE): http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/internet-explorer0 -
as ever the best place to start would be with the following (advice from aliEnRIK)
Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
http://www.filehippo.com/download_ma..._anti_malware/
Open malwarebytes and goto UPDATE and click 'check for updates'. After its updated goto SCANNER and click PERFORM QUICK SCAN then click SCAN
Remove everything thats found (needs to be ticked)
Post the COMPLETE log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds
If anything was found then do the exact same but run a FULL scan
reboot
Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/
Click MAIN MENU then DO A SYSTEM SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE(Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)
If you get a message that you cant write to the hosts file then Press the SHIFT key, and whilst holding it RIGHT CLICK and select RUN AS (admin)Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0
