Bank Reversal??

Hi there was wondering if anyone could help me out with the following problems as I don't have a telephone banking number to call santander or I would have.
1. I had a dd payment of £15 took out
there wasn't enough in the account to pay for this so I recieved a message saying arranged overdraft interest of 4.44
then another straight after saying unarranged overdraft interest 0.35p
SO DO I HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING TOWARDS THIS BILL OR IS IT NOW PAID AND ARE THE BANK LIKELY TO CHARGE ME ANYMORE INTEREST?
2. I then got another dd for 118
Again unexpected so there wasn't enough in the account to pay for this so I recieved a message saying dd reverasl of 118
SO HAS THIS ONE PAID AT ALL ACCORDING TO THE COMPANY RECIEVING THE MONEY IT HAS TO WHY WOULD SANTANDER PUT THE MONEY BACK IN?
thank you in advance for any help!

I would think if they did a dd reversal then the company who requested it won't be receiving it, although if you rang them on the day it would show on their system they had it but a reversal would go through.
I messed up a £4 dd with another bank, rang the company concerned and they told me it takes a couple of days for it to show as returned.Payment a day challenge: £236.69

So do think I'll still get charged in anyway for the reversal?
And also with the arranged and unarranged charged for the £15 one I assume that one has been paid?
Thanks!0 -
If the dd is unpaid you'll get a charge but I believe the charges have been reduced. Santander tend to give you a good month's notice of charges. You'd have to make arrangements with the company that called the dd as well.
If the £15 one wasn't reversed it will more than likely have been paid, how does it show on your statement?
My OH was o/drawn for a £6 cheque a while back by about £2 and despite being a customer for 10 years, with no problems and regular income they refused to cover the £2 short and we got a £5 charge. So check your statement and see if it has gone through on been reversed.Payment a day challenge: £236.69

For the first one, it looks like the bank paid it and gave you an overdraft in order to do so.
The second one hasn't been paid (hence the "reversal" - it will show as a debit then a credit) and you'll then incur a bank charge for that. It isn't an interest charge, but a flat fee.
If you were not notified (you say it was "unexpected") then you need to refer to the payee and have a look at their terms for operating direct debits. Some payees stipulate that they will give you a set notice period before they debit the amount e.g. 10 days notice, 3 days notice and so on.
If they are required to give you a specific period of notice before the debit (not all are - read what it says very carefully) and they did not do so, you will need to pursue the payee to get the bank charges reimbursed to you, the bank are not obliged to refund them - it's "your problem".
If that's the case, consider whether you want to pay that particular payee in this way in the future.0
