BT Charging me for service I did NOT give authorisation for.

I am absolutely sick of BT calling me at home but now I am furious they have changed my Weekend free call plan which they said would be free (it isn't ) and charged me extra on my bill for the last 2 months. But the real sting is I didn't say I wanted the service to the foreign caller they employed. I am furious and will take this further if they don't refund me the amount.
If any BT employees are reading this it's an absolute disgrace!

The Unlimited Weekend Call Plan is bundled with line rental, it is not free, it is inclusive.
All BT tariffs come with a minimum calls bundle, you can't opt out.
What have you actually been charged extra for?No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
HI.
I am so frustrated with BT just lately there service and billing has gone right down the pan and what infuriates me more than anything is when they phone you up and cant even pronouce your name correctly. This really hacks me off especially when it is in response to a complaint or query I have made0 -
Change suppliers then, use one that has UK based service.
Nobody is forced to use BT.0 -
BT give great advice about how to deal with mis-selling - have a look at bt.com/misselling0

The best bit is you are contracted to your free bundles that suddenly don't become free. My friend's bundles are longer than her landline contract! BT are rubbish ...FACT!0

They got back to me to say the bundle is free with the line rental BUT the rental must have just gone up as it's around a pound dearer. They also phoned me in the past to ask me if I want the free weekend plan (which we have established is part of the line rental) I will have to commit to staying with them for a year. Sounds dogey to me.
By the way, I complained about this and on the form it asked how you would like to be contacted. I ticked email. They also tried to phone me today as well as email. They just never listen. As my broadband is with O2 I may switch to them.0 -
The call package is not free with line rental, it's inclusive. The announcement of a BT line rental increase was made some months ago (the increase is 50p).No free lunch, and no free laptop0

They did the same to me, I voted with my wallet and left them, best move I have ever made.
I am now with a supplier with a 30 day contract, lower costs, with UK skilled staffing, and above all, cares for it's customers.0 -
I will be switching later today.0

I am having similar problems with BT. After months of pestering phone calls, a BT rep convinced me that I might save money by going back to them. I asked for written information so I could check, which he said he'd send, but when it hadn't arrived 2 days before the deadline to cancel, I phoned to cancel and stay with Virgin, my current call provider; the lady was very helpful and I was reassured. Some weeks later, I had a huge bill for package and calls from BT which conveniently arrived AFTER they had taken their DD. I phoned India, and a very helpful chap said it was an IT problem, and they would be refunding calls to my bank account. Another 2 weeks later, I have phoned India again, only to be told my Virgin calls were cancelled and my calls are through BT, and there is no refund. She has referred it to a supervisor so they can listen to the calls, which she could see were on the system on the dates specified. I want a new phone provider, they are crooks. I've also had the extortionate connection charges, having moved into 2 new properties in 2 years - despite privatisation, they still seem to be operating like a monopoly and with little regard for their customers0
