Switching suppliers through moneysupermarket

I tried to do a switch tonight after doing a comparison, only to find it was impossible because I do not have a mobile phone.
I am not joking, it would seem unlikely on a consumer website which is supposed to uncover bull **** , but some moron thought it necessary to make it compulsory that you must have a mobile phone when entering you details, or we will not accept your instructions to switch, you could not just leave out or say anything like N.A.
I did manage to place it through Energyhelpline.com which did not insist on a mobile number, but it does mean I have lost the £30 for switching both my gas and electric that I should have received.
Whoever is responsible sort it out or put up a notice saying
" MUST HAVE MOBILE PHONE TO SWITCH "

I usually just make one up. 07777777777 for example. Or 07712345678. I'm sure whoever's numbers they are are used to the sales calls by now :rotfl:Proud mum to now-grown-up daughter (Pebbles) and two lovely grandchildren (Roxy & Chip).

You would get more cashback if you switched using one of the cashback sites, such as topcashback.co.uk, quidco.com or fatcheese.co.uk. Just make sure that you clear your cookies each time, by using something like ccleaner.
For the mobile number, as long as it starts 07 and has 11 digits, you can fill in the blanks with 0s.RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

..or even better, get cashback on top of cashback.
When I switched my nPower (gas and elec) from their standard tariff to their 'sign online 14' tariff last year, I used Quidco and Moneysupermarket. I think I got £20 from Quidco for using MS, and another £30 from MS themselves.0 -

You should have only "lost" £15 as you should get £15 cashback from Energyhelpline.
Dont understand why you cant switch without a mobile number on Moneysupermarket though.. presumably they want that so they can spam you with texts or something?Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!
