Should I block them?

I have a bidder on one of may auctions (ending on Saturday) who worries me.

She has a habit of leaving neg or neutral feedback, often without contacting the seller.
A couple of neutrals have + comments like 'very good'.
On one occasion she did not pay for an item and on day 43 left neutral feedback stating she had paid and requesting dispatch, seller responded that she has not paid (obviously I've blocked non-payers, so she is probably not doing it that often).

I'm selling using a new account and bad feedback would seriously damage my business, so I'm inclined to cancel her bid and block her.

What do other people think?

I would definitely block her. I can't think of a good reason not to. If there is a demand for your item then one buyer out of many won't make that much difference.

  • block. it's what your gut is telling you anyway. if you have a potential diffficult buyer , really, why bother? wish i'd listened to my gut a while back - the clues were there, but i didn't follow my instinct.. and by golly did that one non-sale cause problems.

Always, always cancel bids and block for anything 'out the ordinary' and TSFE peeps.

I'd definitely block. I've even blocked bidders who haven't even tried to bid purely because i've noticed them when I have been browsing and they look like a problem (lots of poor feedback left for example).

    Thank you all!

Will do. While I'm building my feedback I'm being very cautions.
