Disability Benefit/Income support sick question

Hi i would like to know if people on income support sick and the severe disability allowance and high rate disability benefit care and mobility have to go for a retest? I don't want to go into too much detail but it would not be possible to travel there and go for a retest because of medical problems. They have also been judged as never having to send medical forms again.

You mean for ESA? Everyone will be sent a form when it's time for them to be transferred over.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Thanks, well their not getting ESA yet and still getting the old income support sick. As they should know some people will not be fit at all to travel there and will need someone to come out to them.0

That is possible with a good enough case put forward for it and written support from your GP.
The whole idea with ESA is not to decide how ill or disabled you are or indeed to see how long it will remain so, but to assess given your disabilities if you could do any work at all.
From what I know - there does not even have to be a job available or one likely to come up.
It's the same as you maybe able to use your computer at home - in which case maybe they could say that you could work in an office using a computer.0 -

I can use a computer at home, but in an office enviroment it is totally different, how does one who is housebound even get to work?????0 -
When did the move start from incapacity to ESA?Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p
It is not illegal to open another persons mail unless you intend to commit fraud - this is frequently incorrectly posted
I live in my head - I find it's safer there:p

both my girls are in the support group of ESA , one is 18 the other is nearly 17.
they didnt hvae to have a medical , I filled out the forms for them ,letter sent by DWP to Gp, for sick notes etc, then had a lady come to house saw the girls and fileld in a form about them and i had to sign a form , she ticked a box to say that THEY WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO WORK, and that the DWP were not to bother us again....
no point really as both girsl profoundly disabled.
ESA forms were ok to fill out, bit long winded but not too difficult.

I would love to work from home, however, do you think the employer would be happy to come to my home to interview me...I doubt that. If you mean addressing envelopes for 5p per 100 I think NOT!0

There need not be a job available, they only have to think that you could do it and yes addressing 13,000 envelopes an hour for the minimum hourly wage at home is a job!0
