Free Solar Panels

Hi

We have just had a phone call from a solar panel fitter... very strange and actually put us off and just wondered if anyone else has had any contact with myenergystation.com?

He was on the phone for a very long time trying to persuade us to have the free solar panels and telling us all the info that i have already looked at... like what kinds of savings you can make and that...

It seemed a bit dodgy and he kept saying no contract will be signed but when he comes to assess the house, they will have to take photos and then you will sign something to say a surveyor will come in 2 weeks to assess the house... and then you will have to sign a contract to say you will have it, that is when you won't be able to get out of this. When the surveyor comes you are basically agreeing you have to sign the contract.

anyway it was a weird phone call and seemed very much telesales..

anyone else had this and have been put off?

You get the panels on the roof and any energy they supply to your home, the company takes the feed in tariff.
I assume you are talking about Solar PV.

Next time it happens, tell them you don't have a south facing roof.
If they say that's not a problem, you know they are crooked.

I know what they do. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had any calls from them and thought this soounds a bit of a con by the way they were pushing and constantly repeating what these solar panels do even though we knew what they do.... all we want to know is can we have them.

I think you're right... gonna stay well clear of them... sounds like they are pushy and want to force you to have it.... no one keeps saying you don't sign a contract and what they can do for you that many times without sounding desperate to push you for their custom.
