Just got my new samsung q330 delivered this afternoon. A bit apprehensive how to set it up, going to ask a friend to help me. It did not come with any discs, but got this information that I will need a CD-key to register and instal the programme, Cyberlink DVD suite, it is included in the back up of the Samsung Recovery Solution system software. I will have to register windows 7 and there is a sticker with the product key on the bottom of the computer. Also it says I can restore the computer without an additional OS recovery cd using samsung recovery solution so I assume there is no need for me to do a complete back up. Can somebody please advise me? Thanks

OK. Firstly get some real good sellotape and cover the licence sticker as the new ones have a nasty habit of the ink rubbing off over time.
Secondly, you'll be prompted to make a recovery disc. You'll need some writeable DVDs - either one or two. DO THIS because if the hard drive packs up, a recovery partition will be of no use and the disc you've made will be the only way to restore the computer back with all apps, drivers etc.0 -
I have been reading the manual online and it mentions about partition the disk carefully on first use, how do I do that, it has got 3 gb? Have not got a clue what to do? Thanks0

3GB refers to RAM
Partitioning refers to Hard Drive - basically how many pieces you want to split the drive into http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disk_partitioning
You will need to 1) make recovery dvd's
2) backup your own personal files regularly0
