Local Charity work and free gig tickets (Cardiff)

Hia,
Yesterday I did some charity work for the Orange Rockcorps Collective Cardiff. It’s a bizarre name and, between you and me, their marketing communications have been no less flummoxing.
So please allow me to clarify exactly what it is, why I did it and why everyone else should too:
- First choose a charity event that you’d like to help out with. These are in the local area and consist of a single four-hour voluntary shift doing something like stewarding (telling people where the toilets are).
- Second, turn up and carry out your duties… it’s half a day’s effort and is much appreciated by the charity organisers. You’ll be helping them and your community, and you may have a nice time too. I certainly did, stood by the river Taff in the sunshine yesterday morning!
- Submit your story online (answer a few questions on a web form) and you’ll be sent an email with a £30 voucher to spend on any gig from Ticketmaster. I’ve just received mine and am holding onto it until I see something I fancy
For more info, check out my story online: http://projects.orangerockcorps.co.uk/collectivestories.asp?page=15 or feel free to ask.
