I just got this phone and the sim is registered but it keeps saying no service. been through troubleshooting mode on orange and still no luck, could it be driver software?

any ideas as this new phone is about to hit the wall!!

I picked mine up last week.

Remember reading on the forums that a few people had similar issues. Theres about 130 pages of comments on HDUK if you want to trawl through most of it heavily positive.

My guess is that either sim hasnt been activated or phone maybe faulty in which case they will replace.

It appears to have signal but when try and call it just cuts off. Could the sim be cancelled?

I would say faulty phone or sim but probably phone.

Take it to shop show them - they will switch it.

I had the same problem with my SF. Eventually Orange man chased it down to the handset being on their blacklist register. Gave him my order number which he checked with the sales unit, took of the blacklist and all works perfectly now.

Is it possible to update this phone to remove all Orange references as I do not use the Orange service.
