Praise for Skoda

When I was a young lad recounting jokes about Lada and Skoda cars, I never thought I'd end up owning one and heaping praise on it.
Anyway, we recently had a 60K Service carried out on our Octavia VRS which went swimmingly. 2K miles later there appeared to be problems relating to the fuel injectors.
We took it back to the dealership who carried out the Service who told us that the parts would cost circa £850 to replace!!! Typically our warranty has expired as it only covers us up to 3 years or 60K miles, whichever comes first. We've had a call from them today to say that despite this, Skoda have decided to pay for the replacement parts and fitting as part of the warranty!
In an age when many companies will do anything to avoid paying out on warranty and insurance policies, I have to say I'm mega impressed with Skoda's stance on this.

Gopod on them but they can afford to. the cars are so reliable. warranty work is minimal. Try the same request at Ford and you will be lucky if you get 40% goodwill if you have a full service history.
Toyota, and Honda I would fancy your chances.
Kia and Hyundai to be fair have longer warranties so you would probably be covered. (same goes for vauxhall now too)0
