hey look, another UGGs thread!

Yep, sorry n all, but here goes.

Ordered some ?UGG? boots from www dot sale-luxury-boots dot com for £71.19. Not wishing to get into the whole scam website/child explotation malarkey, as the boots have arrived. WOW

However, I inadvertently ordered the wrong size (being a humble man) and so am trying to go about returning them. This is where things get a bit complicated.

From their website "Returns & Exchange are accepted on merchandise within 7 days of receipt for items. Items cannot be exchanged. Please read the following instructions for details:"

but then..............."2. We cannot accept you to return merchandise for shoes' size."

Can anybody help me out at all?

Goods paid for by Visa debit card. Already got the bank to stop the payment once, when I originally had suspicions about the site.

Now not sure where I stand.

Thanks in advance

  • Ask them if you can swap. If they say no, return them under the distant selling regulation and buy another pair. Simples
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!

I suspect they come from a Chinese website and the DSRs won't apply. If you can't change them, you also shouldn't knowingly resell fake items in the UK...

    Not simples at all.

On the assumption that they are fake and sold by an overseas (probably Chinese) counterfeiting company, I don't think we can hold out much hope of winning an argument under DSR.

Yes, because that is such a minor issue, isn't it?

I very much doubt this is a UK Company and DSR therefore will not apply.

I was working on the principle of being bought from a legit company.

And if you read the OP again, note the price and the website, they clearly aren't legit :)

Agreed. Even the briefest look at the website reveals that it is dodgy as anything.
  • TBH i don't even know why people buy these things. flipping ugly and you can get the same at primark for a tenner just without the label.!!

Many thanks for the helpful replies.

However, I'm still a bit unsure where I stand with things now.

    do I

    A) put it down to stupidity and be stuck with them?

    B) find some way of getting the money back?

    C) another solution?

    Thanks
