Applied for a Capital One Card

in Credit cards
I just applied for a Capital One credit card to try and rebuild my credit history and went through the whole process (include signing a credit agreement online), and I was expecting a decision online as to whether I would be offered a card or not.
Do all applications go through to the credit agreement stage or does that only happen when you pass the credit check, etc?
Thanks in advance

I'm suprised they had you sign the application without making an online decision
Normally they say we'll be in contact in 7 - 10 days or it's a straight accept or decline.
Hope you get it."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0 -
they have done this to me three times now, twice they declined me, and on the 3rd application they accepted me

this happened to me.
first i was declined so got a straight up no.
2nd time i went on Electorol Roll and applied again.
signed agreement and everything and forgot about it until a week later i got a pin through door and then another week card came through.
only £200 limit but better safe than sorry0 -
Well I got my pin number through yesterday so looks like I've been accepted :-) What's the best way to use the card? Is it better to use a little bit (i.e. £10 a month) and pay it off straight away or what?0

Yeah just use it for a few purchases, pay it off in total every month to avoid the horendous interest charges
DD for the full balance on the card is the best way to go."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0
