DFS/Santander PPI reclaim

Hi everyone,

does anyone have experience of reclaiming PPI from DFS?
I took out one of their hire puchase agreements and was mis sold ppi to go with it.....that aspect is now dealt with by Santander, and they have still been billing me for ppi even though the debt for the sofa was settled early?!?
I sent the usual forms as per recommended on this site to Santander, who forwarded my complaint to DFS. I received a letter and phone call from DFS advising that the PPI would be cancelled with Santander (great news) but in order to reclaim my mis sold PPI I had to go into the local DFS store and take out a new credit agreement to receive my refund?!?! doesnt seem right to me? :mad: any advice? x

Hi there

It is those who set the policy up responsible, so they have to deal with it.
I am not sure of the new agreement side of it though, maybe someone will clarify.

Take out a new credit agreement for what? You had settled the agreement early hadn't you?
