accident ins, for 18 year old rugby player

Does any one have any info on a good policy for an 18yr old rugby player that would cover him in the event of him having an accident and not able to work etc, there are so many out there and they say we pay lots of ££££££££ if this or that happens when what he needed was just a good policy not to pricey that would give him the security of finacial help if he needed it. HE HAS JUST SIGNED UP TO A COMPANY CALLED COMBINED AT A COST OF £57 A 1/4 SEEMS EXPENSIVE TO ME he still can cancel at any time but all the rugby boys were going for it so he just did the same and none of them did any research into the company or checked around for a better price your help with this would be gratefull.
