My Epson Dx3000 has died..it has been a pain in the neck, not recognising compatible cartridges and now it prints a load of lines ..I have used up most of my stock of cartridges and have since heard that Epsons are not that good value overall because of the cost of cartridges and print head problems.. I am thinking, as I need new ink anyway, it may be time to get something new.
Anyone got any recommendations?..Anyone have a which magazine?
Thanks in eager anticipation

In the mean time does anyone have any ideas how to sort out the print heads..I have done a nozzle cleans and it just makes it worse and uses up loads of ink0

Currently the best-regarded all-in-one printers are Canons - you'll see they top the table in this month's PC Pro magazine, when it comes out.0

Hi John..thanks for that ..I will give them a look. Brother and HP also seem to get good reviews. However, so far, every review I've found seems to give different results!0

I had an HP which was very good at its job , but the software was so intrusive.
It seems to dump itself all over the place and is a real pain to get rid of - in fact there are some parts which I still cannot remove.
Now got an Epson SX 405 which is fine for my requirements. Compatible cartridges are really inexpensive.Forgotten but not gone.0 -
do you need to print in colour?0

Brother, I have 4 of them, great printers, I have tried HP, and Canons in the past.0

This is about the cheapest all-in-one I can find which has reasonably priced compatible inks available. £40 including delivery.

If you don't use colour I would suggest getting a laser.0 -
I have a Canon MP560, it delivers good quality print, both colour and black & white, allows you to scan directly to a computer via wireless and copies. So far it has been very easy to set up/use and seems to be cheap to run (ink wise).Always get a Qualified opinion - My qualifications are that I am OLD and GRUMPY:p:p0

What is the most economical inkjet all-in-one printer at the moment...I can't find a clear cut winner anywhere as nowhere seems to be focusing on usage cost? I don't want to spend more than £80 on the printer itself but at the same time I don't want an astronomical running cost, I want to be kind to my wallet, anyone got any recommendations?0

Almost in your budget. And i agree with Mr codd - they are good (can't speak for ink costs yet though)0
