Home Insurance with Convictions & Bankruptcy

It seems that all Insurance Companies I have tried recently for Home Insurance want to know about any unspent convictions for non-motoring offences.

I managed to find a couple that didnt but then they asked about Bankruptcy and would not provide a quote on this basis.

I'm becoming a little frustrated as I have recently moved in with my partner and we are due to have our first child but I am struggling to find anywhere that will offer insurance.

I have 1 unspent conviction and I was discharged from a Bankruptcy order in August 2007.

Does anyone know of anyone that may be able to assist me in my hour of need?

Cheers

Phil

There is a thread on MSE about Bankruptcy and they have a section on getting insurance, have a look on there
