Cheers very much for this post - ordered over phone (got a scripting error on the web site - damn MID function...)

Always wanted to try a set of Seinheisser headphones (heard they are to headphones what Technics are to turntables) and the magazine looks like it could be a good read too.

Just got off the phone after ordering mine and the lady said it was true about the £10 charge if you do cancel in first six months i.e. between £1 charge and £6.95 charge. Decided to bite the bullet anyway! Can other people check?

There's no point even discussing this stuff with the phone monkeys that take these calls, they will very often talk complete !!!!!!, as this one has to you.

There will be *NO* £10 cancellation fee, their is absolutely *NO* provision for a penalty charge in the offer terms and conditions. The offer (like almost all of these trial sub's deals) specifically says it is a pound for the first 3 issues, you get your free headphones, and you can cancel after that point without any obligation. If they (or any other firm) try to take any more than they are entitled to you can have your bank apply an immediate and full refund to your bank account, that is your right under the direct debit scheme guarantee.

Incidently, the couple of photo's of the headphones that appear towards the start of this thread are misleading I think, I've seen another photo of the phones that are supposed to be included in this deal and they look a much cheaper and inferior set than those. Still, for a quid you can't go wrong eh?

thanks for this - have finally taken the plunge and ordered this subscription. no mention of the £10 - will cancel DD after 1st £1 taken out and gift received. can't take my money then can they?
