Hello - just wondering if anyone has ever done the magic elf idea from the organised xmas site?
If anyone has - where did you get your elf from? What is the best price for one of these? Any pointers on what type is the best?
I would really like to do it this year and have been searching everywhere but no luck in finding one so far, so any help would be great

There is a thread running here about the Christmas elf.

I found it very difficult to get an elf last year and finished up with a Christmas decoration elf. My Mum has knitted one that has spent the year on my daughters bed. I will probably use that this year. I can get away with using her elf because my daughter willl be 16 this year-for a younger one it would spoil the magic.
Hopefully someone on that thread can give you some ideas of where to get an elf this year.0 -
Depends how much you are willing to spend..
I used the tatty teddy 'santas little helper' last year...
this one:

We got them from Clinton Cards... we had to buy two for DS and DD... I got some iron on initials from hobbycraft and put the on the front of the dungarees so we knew who each of them belonged to.

As pp said, the existing thread is fab and has some great ideas. I bought my elf last week from ebay, it was a TY Beanie Kid and a TY Beanie Kid Elf outfit, came to about £11. Have just had a quick look and there doesn't seem to be any left but I did find this one,

Or there is the tatty ted one as pp said.
These are the only ones that I found on my search I'm afraid, them seem rather elusive!0 -

Thought these links might help someone with Ideas for what to do with their said elves....
This is the first year an elf will be visiting us - and we have the one from Ebay which is listed above. Its fab and really good quality.... a bit more than I wanted to spend, but hopefully will last us a few years!!
