Colour on a laptop

Hi

My mother has bought herself a laptop but has managed to do something (no idea what) to it which has resulted in the screen going black (background). Ive managed to change it back to white, but the script still types in white. Because of this Ive temporarily changed the background to grey, so at least she can see the typing!

When she changed it to black, whatever she did also changed the buttons (click to buy, etc) to black, so she couldnt see them. Now that Ive changed the background colour, you can see the buttons, but just not the writing on the buttons. Ive gone into display in the control panel and it says font black, background white, but they just arent showing like that

Hope this makes some sense to someone? She thinks she clicked on something on the bottom right of the screen that changed the colour, but not sure exactly what.

Is there any simple was of changing the colours back to the default? The laptop is new and is running Vista, if it makes any difference?

thanks for listening / reading!:)

Are you talking about Windows or a particular program?

If it's Windows try resetting your theme. You can get to it through control panel or by right-clicking on the desktop.
  • I will try these things out when I go to visit later in the week. thanks!
