Yeh if you can read i talk about my wages as of this summer...stated that a fair few times. Im on the hourly rate for a 4th year apprentice...and trust me its not £6-£7 an hour. Going through my post history like that is dedication though, what a sad life you must lead :P Il prove you wrong dont worry. I think your posts reek of envy
No Rictus, posting incoherent setences wont get you out of this web of lies that you have caught yourself up in!
You clearly stated at the start of July that you THEN had a payrise, which would take your monthly salary upto £1,385 per month.
So are you now trying to claim that you had a pay rise in July of £300 per month (after 3years of working there),
but then after less than 2months more of working there they decided to give you ANOTHER payrise of £2,400 extra per month?? :rotfl::rotfl:
As thats what you yourself have said, that in July you were on roughly £6.50 per hour,
but then by the start of October they had increased your salary to £30.80 per hour.... :rotfl::D:D:rotfl:0 -
come on guys give the lad a break, he will learn from his own mistakes. When I was his age I thought I'd be a millionaire by 40 as well! I'm 31 now and nowhere near lol. Life never turns out how you thought when you are a teenager.
Rictus, do what makes you happy, but as you can see asking for advice on your dreams may lead to ridicule. Relax, have fun, work hard and you will have a good life, being rich isn't everything.Aug 24 - Mortgage Balance £242,040.19

Debt write off master can you please read my posts then make a reply? Where about in this thread does it say im on £30.80 an hour right now? Iv said nothing of the sort, i was saying what il be on when i get my skills test done in the summer. Do you have any idea how the pay scale on a construction apprenticeship works? It seems like you dont have a clue
I would guess you have not got anywhere near what id like to have/have no chance of ever having it which is why your posts are full of hatered and jealous

hmm, any thoughts on expanding your building experience to get qualifications in for example electrics or plumbing, in my experience in bad times there are more opportunities for these trades that aren't primarily focused around new builds etc?Aug 24 - Mortgage Balance £242,040.19

Again excuse my ignorance by I am assuming you were/are on a Construction Apprenticeship Scheme (CAS) and having spoken to one of my mates who is a Civil Engineer ,I was told that the wage for an Apprentice can be between £7,500 and £14,000 and that the upper salary you can take home in the south east (with 10 years experience and supervisory responsibilities) is c£27,500.
The only way I can see the older builders (with about 15+ years experience) taking home £2,700 pm is if they deem themselves to be self-employed so they sort out their own tax - so c£2,000 - £2,100 net after doing a 40 - 50 hour shift!
I think what people have been trying to tell you is that you need to plant both your feet firmly on the ground and do some proper research and let the chickens hatch before you start counting them.£365 in 365 days challenge: £730 / £1500 -
If you cant understand what im posting then dont bother replying to it. There is no need to insult me for the money i make/job i do. If i take home at least £1,300 a month then i must be doing a fair amount of hours on £6 an hour. You dont know nothing about me,you havnt taken the time to read my thread so please keep out of it, i look for opinions and advice but you have overstepped the mark. You are obsessed. Iv reported you and any more posts from you will just make things worse for yourself. Im on here for advice and guidence, not to be insulted. Grow up and move on, you are boring me.Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

Regardless of whether you believe in the OP's wages assessment ( i read that he knows people in his trade that earn this much and hopes he will earn similar in the future), abusing the OP for his profession is just nasty. Bricklayers do earn good money as do many people on a building site. I don't really think the OP is being totally realistic tbh but thats for him to potentially learn as he goes on.
Of course if you work in macdonalds or stack shelves yourself earning a good wage debtwriteoffmaster then thats good for you and I am not going to belittle you for it.Aug 24 - Mortgage Balance £242,040.19

Exactly. And even if i aim for a million i might still end up with £500k. Still a very large sum of money. Im going to start off with something small. Might just keep it a % of my pay. £600 a month or so, after 5 years a tidy sum of £36k. That will be cash. Then i could start thinking of investing alot more of my income. Im going to have a couple of saving pots.
I have my short term goals but im not sure if its worth posting them in this thread now.Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.
