DD is gutted that her dressing gown has only sold for £2.50 - well it's £2.50 more than I would have got had I charity shopped it. Found some more items so they are now advertised.

hex I like the dresser too - and I am much amused by the idea of you sorting out what he has sorted out and refining it further:rotfl:

It's cooling down now, so I am going to bring in the last of the washing.

:rotfl:I am fairly ruthless these days, I wasn't when I started out on the thread all those years ago. This place taught me to bin or re-home stuff  for which I am very grateful. Polly and Dusty may remember me hiding DH's 'stuff' in the old coal shed for six months before I binned it in the early days.

Sadly DH has taught the children to be attached to things, I had DS2 doing 'but I was going to hug it, and kiss it and call it George' over empty boxes this morning. mean mummy out them in the recycling anyway.

I still remember my lightbulb moment in that department with DD when she wanted to get rid of something and I said 'but you can't because XXXXX gave it to you' and then realised what I was teaching her - hence the rethink.

A sunny Sunday here, too. I'll have to check on the washing in a moment, to see what can be sorted and what needs to be finished off in the TD. Bucking the trend here with a sunny back garden, even in winter.

A ham joint is roasting in the oven and I fitted some of MG's banana loaf in, too. Made pizza wheels (from a packet - I'm not too impressed, will see what DSs say) and done the bits of shopping. DS2 has spent the day playing with NN's daughter. I'm about to collect him to get on with homework. It's been a really peaceful Sunday and I should have everything ready for work and school in the morning. I even fitted in a little power nap earlier. Could do with another one, though, so might put the kettle on for a cuppa.

I've updated my 100 day challenge record and realised that some more detailed planning may be necessary, as I've not made enough progress. May try greenbee's strategy, but I'm still trying to visualise what the plan would look like. If it means that stuff gets done, it will be well worth the time spent planning.

    See you all later. xxx

DD's room has now been gutted, all junk gone.

    Still to do in there.
    Put rubbish out.
    Wipe all units.
Strip bed and replace with new.
    Hoover floor.

    Have done.
DW been loaded and now on.
    WM x 3
    TD x 2
    Kitchen table cleared.
Chicken stripped from dinner for toasties later.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

me too :) south facing back garden, although I need to prune the apple tree severely as I'd get a lot more sun if it was half the size!

It's just a VAST piece of paper (A2) with 5 columns - a narrow one down the side with big numbers from 1-30, small numbers and a letter for the date and weekday (this helps... it's good to know both!). I then took my millions of lists and worked out what I could plan ahead (weight loss target is therefore showing at weekly intervals, as is mealplanning, exercise, work travel and deadlines). I then worked out any dependencies and put them in (so for work deadlines I added in some interim deadlines, and for travel marked when I needed to book it, when to check in, when to do expenses, when to pack etc). Phone calls I've put in at about one a day, and mostly that's working. House and garden stuff I've put little things on there, sometimes repeated e.g. edging the beds with paving blocks is going to be on every day until it is done (and I've just discovered that OH is MUCH better at this than me, so have stopped so he can inspect my efforts when he gets home!). I've also thought about which things I can do on my own, and which I need help with. OH is onboard with the plan, as he knows how stressed I am. He was sceptical about how much it would help, but played along last weekend and realised that it really does make a difference, as we're now achieving so much!

Lawn mowed. Lawnmower desparately needs a service. And the lawn need aerating and sanding as bits of it are very soggy.

Put down two edging bricks and decided quality control would probably not approve, so have abandoned the effort and will focus elsewhere (packing possibly... early start tomorrow remember!). Need to try to get some gardening done on Thursday (the only day we're going to be around this week, although I may get home in time to do a little on Tuesday.

Haven't been for either a walk or a run today, so I might wander up to the post box - not much, but it helps!

2 pairs of curtains taken down. 3 washed, 1 tumbled and rehung. Vacuumed under furniture in lounge/dining. vacuumed 2 sofas, 1 chair, 4 dining chairs. Pictures dusted, miror cleaned, wooden blinds dusted, vertical patio blinds painstakingly de cat haired. Cleaned behind 2 radiators . Patio cleaned, grass cut, bathroom done including grout. Absolutely knackered. Just need to iron a shirt and top for tomorrow.
DH did a lot of it with me!
