Well, not supposed to be here, but can't start placement as I am missing some paperwork from the college. Not in work cause I thought I would be in placement....so unexpected day off.

Have been for coffee with friends, been to some shops and got stuff for Nappy cakes and a couple of stocking fillers. Have done a few bits off the list as well.....don't want to waste the day, although starting to flag now......will have a caffiene fix and see how I feel.

Hope you are all well and (((hugs))) to all in need xx

Oh, and I get hugs, and spoons but what's the sticks about?

Just going to feed the baby, who was happy and smiling until the nasty nurse stuck a needle in each thigh :( still, IMO it's better than having him poorly and in hospital covered in wires and surrounded by machines again. Managed to S&S the kitchen and declutter the bathroom floor before we went, so once he's fed I'll clean the bathroom and get on with my cupboard mission.
    So, there are these boys,
    They kinda stole my heart,
    They call me Mummy

Now and then it seems that life is just too much.

    Hello all.

Just having a wee time-out; I loathe bathroom day, it takes me ages, as I have to keep stopping to rest/get my breath back. Our BR tiles go right up to the ceiling, too, right round the room - d'you think it'd be OK if I just do what I can reach from the ground this time, as my knees aren't too clever just now?:o

PenPen so sorry to hear about your choir friend - may her journey be a peaceful one.
I forgot to tell you about last night - I was so tired I barely remember going to bed - I got woken at 1.30 by a text on my mobile - I didnt know the number and was mad so i text back and asked who it was - it turned out to be a friend of toxic's from tenerife - she had meant to send it to toxic - I was livid - no apology just asked how I was!!!! It took ages to go back to sleep.

before you say - turn your mobile off or put it in the kitchen - I always take it to bed as it has all my phone numbers I might need in an emergency and if I am not well the family know they can get me on it so I just have to put up with people like her but it makes you mad!!
If it's not practical to just put it on Silent at night, is it possible to set up a custom profile, so that it rings if it's a call, but stays quiet if it's a text? I know it's do-able on my Nokia 6300, don't know about other models. Just a thought.:o

I shall lurk!!! I am trying hard to ignore the things that only I do that bother me but obviously no one else even sees, like the cat paw prints on the kitchen window!!! Driving me mad but I can't reach them...so I'll have to pretend they are not there!!!
Awww, sweetie, the cat'll only make more paw prints - get yourself better before you start doing stuff like that. I know what you mean though - we were in the pub the other day, and I was itching to get my duster-onna-stick to a cobweb I could see on the ceiling.

I [STRIKE]WANT[/STRIKE] NEED THOSE BOOTS!! My BD is flatly refusing to budge.:(

Problem I think is that my life seems to be:
Get up - which requires Mr LW's assistance with bathing/dressing, so I can't stay in bed til he's gone to work.
Get Mr LW off to work.
Spend the day flying, Wii exercises, deal with post/emails, do household financial stuff - all with loads of time-outs because the damned lupus won't let me do tasks one after another like I should, hence there's no time left for anything I want to do.
Cook dins - bearing in mind I hate cooking.
Quick peruse of the paper while Mr LW does his Wii exercises, I also use the pedaling machine while I'm doing this.
Spend the rest of the evening doing whatever Mr LW wants to do - currently Dragon Age Origins - which tends to be the same thing, night after night, til he changes obsessions iyswim.
Go to bed and fail to sleep.
    Repeat ad nauseam.:wall:

OK, back to scrubbing the bath......_pale_
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

My BR is fully tiled as well.
I only ever do what I can reach - unless I am doing the full spring clean

*adds spikey books to LW's Christmas list*

Of course it's ok to just do the bits of tiles you can reach! In fact, if Piggers thought you were doing yourself a mischief trying to get it all done she'd be in with a stick after you, let alone the BD! (plus, she can't really see what you've done, so a little white lie wont hurt ;) ) *whistles innocently*

Keep your chin up, I suggest a day off from flying and do something for yourself - is there something that you'd like to do? Maybe skip tomorrow's list and do that instead, flying will wait, and once you kick that BD up the bum and get him gone it wont seem such a huge task.
    Hugs x

just having some healthy lunch then OH is awake now so I can have a shower before I go for a nap
Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last
  • Well its taken well over 3 hours, half a can of MR Muscle, 2 basics cloths, 6 brillo pads and a LOT of elbow grease but MY OVEN IS CLEAN!!!! Its not completely spotless but I've not cleaned it before and have had it for (dare I admit this??) over 4 years, and it is almost clean. I'm very very pleased with it and want to thank Pigpen and Toots for their advice (couldn't find ovenmate in either Mr S or waitrose and don't have bio powder hence the brillo pads and my now ruined finger nails!LOL!!) and macpec for requesting oven cleaning on this weeks list.
Unfortunately I'm not going to get much else done today as I'm off to collect DD soon, however I'll crack back on tomorrow.
