Any insiders known when Virgin and GNER will start advance bookings beginning 23 Dec? No super-advance/1-way options yet on their web-sites

According to GNER's website they are now taking bookings up to and including Friday 29 December 2006. There's a form you can fill in be notified of booking release dates
If there are no super advance etc ones for the dates you want that's probably because they can sell all the available seats at normal prices so don't need to sell off surplus ones cheaply.0 -
You've got several problems
1) lots of people travel cattle class between Christmas & New Year
2) some of the days there aren't trains at all - which reduces the total number of seats available
3) there may be engineering works reducing the number of trains running & hence the number of seats available.0
